About

An office that still prints working papers

Blue Cedar Compliance Office was founded to give fintech operators in Taiwan an independent audit voice that speaks in files, interviews, and remediation owners — not product demos.

Origin

The practice began after years spent preparing payment and remittance firms for supervisory conversations where binders mattered more than slides. We chose a quieter base at 金門市 so fieldwork could be planned without the constant pull of vendor pitches, while remaining a short hop from Taipei interview rooms.

Mission

Help fintech boards and compliance officers see their controls the way an examiner or diligence reader will — early enough to remediate with dignity. We measure success by clearer minutes, cleaner samples, and fewer surprises on examination day.

Working approach

Engagements stay small. A lead auditor owns the memo; associates handle sampling worksheets; we decline work that would make us both author and auditor of the same policy set. Findings use the vocabulary of registers, escalations, and safeguarding cut-offs.

Values that shape the memo

Specificity

We name the missing artefact and the sample that failed. General praise does not appear in our deliverables.

Independence

We do not sell monitoring software or take success fees tied to licence approval.

Proportion

Severity ratings reflect filing risk and customer harm — not the length of a finding paragraph.
