Refunds, deposits, and rescheduling
These rules apply to paid audit engagements described on this site. They do not cover products, subscriptions, or physical goods we do not sell.
Eligibility overview
Fees paid under a signed engagement letter may be refundable in part or in full depending on how far the engagement has progressed, whether a deposit reserved a fieldwork window, and whether work or travel has already begun.
Cooling-off before fieldwork
If you cancel in writing before we issue the document request list and before any fieldwork day begins, we refund fees paid minus a scoping fee of up to 10% of the engagement value (or NT$15,000, whichever is lower) to cover intake time already spent.
Deposits
The 30% deposit reserves auditor calendar time. If you cancel after the document request list is issued but before fieldwork, the deposit is non-refundable; any amounts paid above the deposit are refunded.
Work already started
Once sampling, interviews, or draft memo writing has begun, fees for completed stages are due. We refund only the unused portion of prepaid fees for stages not started, documented in a short closing note.
No-shows and missed interviews
If scheduled interview participants fail to attend without 24 hours’ notice, that day may be billed as delivered. We will offer one reschedule within the original engagement window when calendars allow.
Rescheduling
You may request one reschedule of the fieldwork window with at least ten business days’ notice at no charge, subject to auditor availability. Shorter notice or second reschedules may incur a calendar-hold fee of NT$20,000.
Non-refundable items
Pre-approved travel, interpreter bookings, room hire, and third-party retrieval costs already incurred are non-refundable. Printed working-paper sets prepared at your request are non-refundable once produced.
Partial refunds
If scope shrinks by mutual written agreement after kickoff, we recalculate fees for remaining work and refund or credit the difference related to cancelled stages only.
Refund process and timing
Email hello@securecloudnode.digital with your engagement reference and reason. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method when possible, or by bank transfer to the contracting entity.
Exceptions
If we cancel an engagement for reasons other than your material breach or failure to provide agreed access, you receive a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered work, including the deposit.
